ScoresMatter is a Digital Perception Management firm empowering consumers by helping them understand, manage and take ownership of the data that drives their digital and social profile. 

Summary:

The person occupying this position is responsible for translating complex analytical concepts into actionable results. He/she will be involved in the development and execution of all data science and statistical analysis relating to lead generation, customer targeting, and marketing campaign measurement. He/she will also be directly responsible for preparing, analyzing and generating effective project results in an efficient and errorless manner using classical statistical techniques, delivered on time and on budget.  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely and collaboratively with data engineering team
  • Generate and execute required analytical programming with minimal supervision. Manage data audit steps to ensure data quality.
  • Leverage Python, R, SAS, SQL & Excel to dig into data to extract meaning from information.
  • Produce appropriate and effective project deliverables including: sample diagnostics, customer profiles, complex queries, data mining, model algorithms, gains charts, model score distributions, etc., with some supervision and zero defect.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of project scope, data extraction methodology, design of dependent and profile variables, exploratory data analysis and statistical methods.
  • Produces timely and error-free deliverables in an efficient manner, managing multiple tasks and varying project scopes.

Requirements for position:

Education: BA, BS required; MS or PhD preferred

Preferred disciplines of study include Analytics, Data Science, Economics/Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Management Sciences, Decision Sciences, Industrial Engineering, or Mathematics.

General Qualifications:

At least 1 year experience (Data Scientist) or 4 years of experience (Sr. Data Scientist/ Predictive Modeler) in one or more of the following work areas:

  • Predictive Modeling & Data Mining
  • Customer Analytics
  • Statistical Model Development
  • CRM/Database Marketing/Analytics
  • “Big Data” and High Performance Computing
  • Machine Learning / A.I.

Related Knowledge Base:

* General project management skills
* Ability to show value of analytics within business processes

* Strong SAS & SQL & R skills

* Hand-on knowledge of RDBMS: MySQL, MS SQL Server

* Hands-on Knowledge of MongoDB and AWS

* Understanding of following analytical concepts:

  • Regression (linear, logistic, multinomial, censored)
  • Test Design/Design of Experiments
  • Segmentation and clustering
  • Decision tree analysis
  • Optimization
  • Random Forests, Neural Nets

* Ability to interpret analytical results

* Knowledge of digital marketing/advertising and or subscription services marketing a plus
